A Case of Polycythemia Vera

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of polycythemia vera which was observed in a 46-year-old female-is reported.
The patient revealed classical clinical statures of primary polycythemia such as ruddy cyanosis, huge splenomegaly, increased red cell mass and leukocy tosis.
After treatment with 32P, hemoglobin and hematocrit were normalized completely 8 weeks later with improvement of clinical symptoms and signs.
